How to register at Makro?
Answer:
Just walk into Makro's Customer Development Department, situated on the sales floor of every Makro Centre and hand in a copy of your CNIC and your business-card. Subject to approval, you will receive your Makro Card within a few minutes.

What are the benefits of a Makro Card?
Answer:
A Makro Card gives you access to all Makro Centres in Pakistan at all times during the opening hours.
All of Makro's special promotions and discount schemes introduced from time to time are offered to Makro Card holders only.
If you give your correct and complete address, we can have the fortnightly Makro Mail delivered to your door-step free of charge.
People shopping on their Makro cards will receive an individualized sales tax invoice that our professional customers can later use to retrieve their sales tax.
If you shop regularly at Makro and spend a certain amount of money you are eligible to become our Gold Card member and are given a cash award at the end of each year.
Return / Exchange Policy at Makro.

Items purchased at Makro Stores can be Returned or Exchanged with the following terms & conditions:
Goods can be returned and exchanged within 7 days from the date of purchase.
Fresh foods can only be returned or exchanged on the same day of purchase.
Items to be returned or exchanged must be un-used, in good condition and complete with all their accessories, in their original undamaged packaging material.
Original Makro invoice must always accompany goods being returned or exchanged.
The following items cannot be Returned or Exchanged:
Frozen food can decompose after the product has de-frosted and is left lying in room temperature. No frozen food items will be exchanged or returned.
Items bought in clearance sales and at discounted prices are not exchanged or returned.
Items of personal use such as intimate apparel, hair & skin products will not be returned or exchanged.
Goods that have expired after the date of purchase cannot be returned or exchanged

What is End Control and why is it necessary?
Answer:
End Control is the final check of a sales invoice. This is conducted just before the customer exits the sales floor. The process of End Control ensures that no mistakes have been made in charging the price of the product you have bought and in the quantity you require.

Due to the enormous and continuous movement of stocks through our doors, errors will occur if left un-checked. End Control ensures that our customers are not penalized because of this. However we do our best to conduct this process as smoothly and as swiftly as possible.

Why does Makro charge for a Shopping Bag?
Answer:
In order to maintain the best and the most competitive prices, Makro keeps all additional services at a minimum.

Furthermore, as a global policy, Makro-Habib discourages the use of polythene bags. We hope to curtail their use by putting a charge on them.

Why is there a charge on Credit Cards?
Answer:
Makro is a low cost, low profit wholesaler and everything at Makro is designed to ensure that it remains that way. As a general global rule, Makro being a Cash & Carry does not accept credit cards; however very early on in our operations in Pakistan, we realized that this exception will have to be made to facilitate our customers. All our prices are strictly monitored and maintained at a certain level. The use of Credit Cards is a personal preference so the additional charge of 1.73% is billed only to those customers who choose to pay through this method.
Unlike some other businesses we do not have such costs built in our prices.

All Visa and Master Cards are accepted at Makro at a financial charge of 1.73%.

Debit Cards
Makro accepts debit cards of MCB and Habib Metropolitan Bank with no service charges.

ATMs
All Makro Centres have ATMs for your convenience.

Banks
We have a Bank on all our premises for your convenience.

Why do we have pre-packed Makro Units?
Answer:
A Makro Unit is a bulk pack which is made for the convenience of the professional customer. Our professional customers are representatives of retail outlets, hotels, restaurants, catering services, cafeterias, offices, institutions and the service industry in general.

A Makro Unit makes it easy for them to carry the products in the bulk packs they require. Bulk packs also minimize Makro's handling costs thus enabling us to keep our prices as competitive as possible.
Wheelchairs – Makro has wheelchairs for customers who need this assistance.

General Sales Tax – Makro prices are inclusive of GST wherever applicable.

No Minimums on Purchase – Makro does not have a limit on the minimum purchase amount. At Makro, all our customers are important to us.

Children are Welcome – Makro welcomes children. However we do remind our customers that we have a high-racking environment with fork-lifts and big trolleys moving on the sales floor at all times. As responsible parents and adults, please help us keep an eye on your children.

Vast Parking Space
With the exception of our Manghopir Centre at S.I.T.E. in Karachi, where the Centre is single storied and has a vast open parking lot, all other Centres have covered parking space for 400 – 500 vehicles.

What is Makro Mail?

Makro Mail is a fortnightly journal that issues special prices on more than 200 food and non-food articles. These prices are valid for a period of two weeks from the day they are published. The period of validity is mentioned on the Makro Mail.

Makro Mail is available at the reception counters on our sales floor; it is dispatched to our active customers free of charge; Makro Mail is available on our website. Register at Makro and give us your e-mail address and we can email the Makro Mail to you.

Makro Mail is also distributed via a select number of daily newspapers in Lahore and Karachi.
